How Version Updates are Numbered / Dated: GLS v9.9 will have a 4-digit version number.  The first two digits will always be 9 and 9, (9.9). Updates will append 2 digits to the 9.9 in sequence starting at 01, then 02, then 03, and so forth (9.901, 9.902, 9.903 etc.).  Each Update will also include the date it was released.  With this system there should be no confusion as to what version you have and whether or not it is the latest version.

First Release for 2012 - This is an Update to the previous version, not a major upgrade.
1. New Feature:  Using the Sub Setup function from the Setup Menu, you can now import all substitute players records and their adjusted indexes from another league in the database.  You can now import all the subs and their adjusted indexes, for handicap purposes, from one league to another league.  Previously you could only import one sub record at a time from another league.  You can still import one sub at a time, however, you can also, if you desire, import the complete sub list and their scores.  Some leagues have a large number of subs from one year to the next, and this can be a substantial time saver.  The scores posted by the sub from the imported league are used as their most recent Outside Scores, then their previous outside scores are added.  Up to 20 outside scores are imported. A sub can have an initial handicap before playing any rounds in the current league.
2. New Feature:  Allows the option of using Outside Adjusted Scores, for handicap purposes, for league members and/or substitute players separately.  You can use Outside Adjusted Scores, also known as Past Scores, for league members, but not for subs, and visa versa.  Outside Adjusted Scores are scores shot outside the league, either imported or entered manually, that you wish to post for a player or sub for handicap purposes.  You can now use Outside Adjusted Scores for Players and Subs, or either one separately.
3. New Feature:  A New Query Report displays each teams Total Standing Points won by week and total for the year.  The report lists all the teams by name in the first column with each week played in the following columns, and shows the total points toward team standings won for each week, with the total for the year in the last column.  The report can be displayed by period, i.e. as Total Points Year to Date, First Half Points, or Second Half Points. The report can also be Sorted by Total Points, which in effect, gives the standings for the period selected.

This function is useful in finding skins (the lowest score on a hole with no ties) on a Weekly Report.  Or you can find the low scores for each week on the Year-to-Date Report.  First select the block of cells you wish to search, then from the "Format" menu, click on "Select" to find the appropriate function.  Once the cells are selected, you can format the cells (i.e. bold font or different cell color) to highlight the cells on the page.

9.006 - 12/27/05 Final Update
This version, released in Dec 05, was actually the initial release of GLS v9.9.  There will not be a GLS v10.0 in 2006.  This update was released early so that all users of GLS v9.0 could get an early start with the new version.
